Welcome to Kindergarten. My name is Kay Green and I am the long - term substitute for Mrs. Keyes as she spends the remainder of the year at home with her beautiful son, Quinn.  This is an exciting year for our Kindergarten students. Kindergarten is a big step in your child's life and you will notice many exciting changes and progress as the year goes on.  We've planned many challenging and fun activities that will help our students meet their academic, personal and social goals.

Believe it or not, first grade is just around the corner.  Please help us prepare your child for that big day.  Please practice:

• Blending sounds to make words
• Using the first and last sounds to read and find words
• Practice high frequency words
  
• Counting to 110 by 1's. 5's and 10's
• Counting to 22 by 2's
• Counting backwards
  
• Identifying coins by name and their value
• Solving simple addition and subtraction problems
  
• Tying shoes and zipping jackets
