Parent Involvement
You can make a difference in the education of our students! Cowern has volunteer opportunities available at many different levels. If you are able to contribute weekly, monthly, or even sporadically - it all benenfits our students. Here are some of the opportunities available:
MISCELLANEOUS
- Front Desk Greeter - Greet visitors/ensure student safety
- Front Desk Sub - Fill in when needed
- Parent & Teacher Group (PTG) - Count fundraiser earnings, attend PTG meetings
- Box Tops & Labels - Count, clip, & sort labels and boxtops
SPECIAL EVENTS
- Cowern Carnival (May 2, 2008) - WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Please consider donating 1 hour of your time to help staff a game. You and your Cowern student(s) may work as a team. We guarantee you'll have fun!
- Track & Field Days (May 19 - grades 3-5 and June 2 - grades K-2)
- Cowern Peace Walk & Dedication (May 28) - Help will be needed running various stations during the dedication. Volunteers will also be needed to help clean the garden area prior to this day.
CLASSROOM HELP
- Literature Circles
- Challenge Math
- Tutoring Small Groups
- Classroom Helper - Varies per teacher
- Take home projects - cutting, folding, etc.
